For this project, we were tasked with repairing and rebuilding the sash windows to match the original design, ensuring the restoration stayed true to the character of the listed building. Using traditional craftsmanship, we carefully measured and replicated every detail, from the mouldings and glazing bars to the joinery techniques used in the original construction. Any damaged timber was carefully spliced and replaced with matching hardwood, and we re-weighted and balanced the sashes to ensure smooth operation. Finally, we applied historically accurate finishes to seamlessly blend the restored windows with the building’s heritage, resulting in a beautifully rebuilt sash window that look as though they’ve always been there.
